Frequently Asked Questions

How does it work?

Milksta Mommy Brews are packed with nutrient-rich ingredients that are known to help boost and increase milk supply. Galactagogues are nice to have but frequent nursing and/or pumping routines should be established.

Breastfeeding mothers are also encouraged to drink up and stay hydrated. Any galactagogue will be most effective in increasing milk supply when combined with increased breastfeeding frequency and milk removal.

Can I drink the coffee hot or cold?

You can do both! But to make ice-cold coffee, we suggest mixing the sachet contents with a little amount of hot water to dissolve the powder fully. Once it's fully dissolved, you can now add the cold water and ice!

What's the decaffeination process used for the coffee?

Our decaf coffee utilizes direct organic solvent extraction using water and high pressure carbon dioxide. It would be a shame to use harmful chemicals and we would never allow that😊

The backside of this decaf process is losing some flavor and boldness of the coffee and we’re glad to have achieved better taste with the oat and coconut oil creamer.

How much caffeine is there in Milksta Nursing Coffee?

Each cup has less than <4mg - within the required standards of decaf coffee (97%) and this amount would never create that uncalled for energy spike.

How fast/slow before you see the results?

Many of our mommas have experienced some increase within one week of taking it 2 to a maximum of 3 times a day. ☕️

We do have some mommas who experienced the effect after 2 weeks and very very few who did not notice an increase at all (I would say at most 8% based on those who provided their feedback) but we haven't heard of anyone who had their supply down by taking it. We do recommend drinking lots of fluids throughout the day for maximum efficiency.

Can I donate my milk if I am taking Milksta products?

Yes & No.

Milk sharing and donation are perceived differently in different cultures around the world; what one country and culture sees as potentially risky may be a long-standing and widely accepted tradition in another country and culture.

We would highly recommend to check with the milk banks you want to donate in if they have a list of food, ingredient or supplements that do not meet their Donation Policy.

Mother's Milk Bank, for example, does not allow milk donations from moms who are taking the following: fenugreek, blessed thistle & moringa. (Information provided by Milksta has moringa and it's included in their prohibited list.

Each institution that accepts milk donations has their own set of policies so checking with them first would be the best thing to do.

Is the brewer's yeast in it gluten-free?

Yes, Milksta Mommy Brews only use gluten-free brewer's yeast.

Are Milksta Mommy Brew products soy-free?

Milksta Boobie Latte & Pink-a-boob are both soy-free but are manufactured in a GMP Certified & FDA Registered Facility that does handle soy products.

Up to how many times in a day can I take Milksta Mommy Brews?

We recommend taking it 2 times in a day up to a maximum of 3 servings daily.
